Effectively Managing Predictors
With the SAF PredictorManager user interfaces, you can centrally set and administer forecast relevant influencing factors (predictors). These include holidays, calendar events and promotions which influence the buying behaviour. Most of these influencing factors, which are also called predictors, can be recognized and anticipated before they occur. They can explain past fluctuations in item sales as well as be used to forecast future sales. With the SAF PredictorManager user interfaces, the user can centrally define the predictors which will influence future demand. These predictors are then assigned to the individual item or groups of items. This provides valuable input to the SAF SuperStore software for forecast calculations. That way, the user is able, using SAF PredictorManager, to monitor the quality of the sales forecasts and thus to control the overall replenishment process.
